I'm pretty good at taking compliments . ...Hmmm. I'm pretty good at taking compliments . . . IF I think they're true. Sometimes I do ("Why yes, this color does look great on me, and thank you!") and sometimes I think people are just being nice, which I HATE ("Um, I haven't brushed my hair in days, I'm pretty sure it looks gross, and you don't have to try and make me feel better.").<br /><br />But that's another issue in itself isn't it, whether we can be honest with ourselves or if we just assume the worst about ourselves and can't receive compliments as a result. Does that make sense?<br /><br />I think I'm pretty good at being honest with myself, but that doesn't mean that sometimes people see things that I don't.
